Wood finishing

Woolfolk's provides high end stained and painted finishes for cabinetry, furniture, doors, beams, and millwork. Using old world techniques infused with modern technology we are able to produce designer finishes from old world to high gloss polished finishes. We are experts in color matching and have hundreds of formulated samples for inspiration and design. We work with low voc conversion varnish and lacquer coatings for most stain and painted finishes but also provide green finishes and natural oil/wax finishes as well. We shop finish whenever possible for a professional finish in are 3,500 square ft shop with spray booth and drying room especially for cabinets and molding. We provide touch ups after installation for a professional finish. We also provide on-site finishing when pre-finishing is not an option for wood ceilings, cabinetry, beams, paneled rooms, libraries and exterior finishes.

Furniture Restoration and Repair

At Woolfolk's we understand when to restore, or conserve your furniture. We know the best antique furniture restoration/conservation methods and are educated in preserving the value and integrity of your furniture. We have decades of experience providing structural repairs, veneer repairs, gilding, and have capabilities of wood carving, wood turnings and complete antique reproductions. Specializing in french polishing and touch up using old world techniques with shellac, oils, and varnishes. Antique furniture should be maintained periodically, often times on furniture over 200 years old are preferred method is a wax/oil followed by our custom made wax. This method preserves the furniture and provides a museum quality finish. We provide on-site restoration services for furniture as well as complete residences. Upholstery is also available through local craftsman who we work with regularly.

Cabinet Painting

Unlike a typical house painter, Woolfolk's specializes in high end paint finishes—from simple white lacquer kitchens to hand brushed antique reproduction finishes with gold leaf accents. We can color match any house paint in a Lacquer or Conversion Varnish paint for a factory finish and can match the European high gloss finishes. We can also match any factory painted and glazed finish.

Furniture/Millwork Stripping

We have custom strip tanks and professionally strip furniture, cabinetry, and woodwork in preparation for staining or painting. We assist contractors and owners in historic renovations by stripping the original woodwork to preserve the value and historical significance.
